How rows become profit
Each row represents one item or a quantity of identical items. Sale price, purchase cost, fulfillment and fixed fees are per unit. Quantity defaults to one. Revenue is sale price times quantity. Estimated profit subtracts purchase cost, fulfillment, percentage selling fees and fixed fees for every unit. Margin is profit divided by revenue; zero revenue has no meaningful margin.
Map sale and purchase cost explicitly. Other columns can use the defaults above. Mapped blank or malformed numbers stop the calculation with a row-specific error instead of silently becoming zero. Dollar signs and conventional thousands separators are supported; formulas are not evaluated. Use one currency throughout, with a decimal point, and at most 5,000 rows.
What this estimate leaves out
This is a sale-price scenario, not accounting software. It assumes the mapped quantity sells at the mapped price. Returns, unsold inventory, tax, promotion charges, labor, subscriptions and storage are not automatically included. Enter the appropriate per-unit costs or compare a separate downside scenario. The default 13% is an editable example, not a verified rate for any marketplace.
Before importing marketplace exports
Check whether an export reports per-item amounts or order totals. A three-item order with $60 total revenue needs a $20 per-unit sale value and quantity three, not $60 and quantity three. Confirm whether buyer-paid shipping is already included in your sale price and include the corresponding shipping expense once. Keep sales tax collected for a government out of seller revenue unless your accounting treatment specifically requires otherwise.
Original files are never modified. The exported results include the calculation inputs so you can trace the estimate. Text that could become a spreadsheet formula is escaped in the export. Download your results before leaving; this page does not save inventory between sessions.
